Based in Cumberland, Maryland, The Mountain Spirit is a modest spiritual collective seeking to find the holy through our roots and environment. We offer resources and opportunities online and in person to celebrate the spirit, share knowledge and ideas, and create home and fine art all inspired by our mountain heritage.
Offerings include roundtable discussions, classes, worship services, support groups, spiritual coaching, workshops, and performances on topics related to religious traditions, local history, genealogy, homesteading, and folk arts.

Heidi Gardner enjoys creating ceremonies and rituals to honor life events,
including officiating at weddings. This love of the spirit combined with
roots in their mountain home led Heidi to join their enthusiasm
for spirituality, genealogy, arts and education. For a few years
Heidi taught religious studies to college students and
local history in a house museum. But now they want
to continue to share skills and passions for
the enneagram, genealogy
and photography.
